Yes, that is a very real possibility, my friends. It is, in fact, the reason that I am sitting up at 5 AM working on a 2 page response paper that was due 5 hours ago…sigh. It was a very productive weekend from the visual creativity standpoint, but not on the academic side of things. After I turn this paper in and catch a few hours of sleep (thank goodness I have no class on Mondays), I still have to prep a Bible Study, prepare to lead a workshop on creative nonfiction for my Asian American writers’ group, mail off the giveaway prize, and do all number of assignments (including reading 3 books – one of which I have yet to borrow from the library, parsing through the lit mags in the bookstore for 5 poems to discuss with my Levinthal tutor on Wednesday, writing several poems, and preparing to moderate a class discussion for Thursday that also involves teaching a mini creative writing workshop…).
Here is a very hasty bento that I made earlier in the week, but hadn’t had the chance to post. Sadly, after I washed the box, the lid belonging to the bottom tier went missing. I am quite beside myself – I love that box! Oh, well. It only cost $1.50 at Daiso. And at least the upper tier still functions…
Top tier (pictured at bottom right): Fried green tomato sandwich and cut-up spicy sausage. There’s a big gap in there. If I’d had the time I would have plugged it with a candy or something.
Bottom tier: Jicama sticks and orange segments.
Hopefully this week’s bentos will be more creative…they’ll have to be, now that I’ve lost the use of one whole tier…
